The much-awaited collaboration of Akshay Kumar and Priyadharshan, titled ‘Bhooth Bangla’, made it to the theatres on Friday, April 18, 2026. The horror-comedy starring Akshay Kumar and Wamiqa Gabbi in the lead is giving tough competition to the undefeated box office champion, Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar’, and has brought an end to its reign. After an impressive opening weekend, the movie, despite a dip in Monday business, on a worldwide scale, ‘Bhooth Bangla’ has entered the Rs 100 crore club. Even the biggest blockbusters have seen a drop in the collection on weekdays, and Akshay Kumar’s ‘Bhoot Bangla’ met the same fate. According to Sacnilk, after enjoying a weekend surge, the movie on its first Monday, day 4, collected Rs 6.75 crore net in India across 10,984 shows. This marks a huge 70.7% drop from its Sunday net collection of Rs 23.00 crore. With day 4 figures, India’s net collection of ‘Bhooth Bangla’ stands at Rs 64.75 crore.Now, coming to the overseas circuit, the Priyadarshan directorial has added Rs 2.50 crore to the tally. This brings the total overseas gross earnings to Rs 29 crore so far. Combined with India’s gross collection of Rs 77.34 crore, this pushes the worldwide gross collection to Rs 106.34 crore.
