'Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata' box office collection Day 5: Kangana Ranaut starrer maintains steady graph ahead of 'Cocktail 2' release

Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata’ continued its run at the box office on Day 5, with the film maintaining its hold over the ticket windows. The film, on Tuesday, held a steady graph and earned the same collections as its Monday’s earnings, thus still staying under the Rs 1 crore mark, according to sacnilk. ‘Haunted 3D’ maintains lead

Meanwhile, ‘Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past’ continues to lead the box office race among the weekend’s new releases with a total India gross collection of Rs 15.67 crore and total India net collection of Rs 13.35 crore.

‘Cocktail 2’ generates pre-release buzz

As the current releases battle for audience attention, industry focus has already shifted to ‘Cocktail 2’, which is set to hit cinemas on June 19.Starring Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna, the romantic comedy-drama has been generating encouraging pre-release buzz.Advance bookings for the film opened on June 14, and as per sacnilk, early ticket sales have been strong. Early projections suggest ‘Cocktail 2’ could debut in the Rs 12 crore to Rs 15 crore net range in India, which would place it among the stronger Bollywood openings of the year.If current booking momentum continues over the next few days, the film could potentially exceed the early projections.

‘Cocktail’ vs ‘Cocktail 2’

The original ‘Cocktail’, directed by Homi Adajania, opened to Rs 10.95 crore net at the Indian box office in 2012 before going on to become one of the most successful urban romantic dramas of its time. Now, ‘Cocktail 2’ aims to capitalise on the film’s popularity while introducing a fresh love story featuring a new cast. Go to Source
