Bahubali- The Epic becomes the 9th biggest re-released film in India

Prabhas’s Bahubali-The Epic becomes 10th biggest re-released film in India beating James Cameron’s Avatar

SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus ‘Bahubali – The Epic’ is making waves once more, breaking re-release records with an astonishing ₹9.25 crore on its first day. This achievement beats Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Gabbar Singh’ and pushes ‘Bahubali’ to gather a total of ₹10.40 crore, securing its place as India’s 10th highest-grossing re-release, even surpassing ‘Avatar’.

It has only been a day to the release of SS Rajamouli directed Bahubali- The Epic to hit the theaters and it has already begun putting its name in the record books. The film with just its day 1 collection of Rs 9.25 crore has become the highest grossing day 1 collection for a re-released film beating Pawan Kalyan’s Gabbar Singh. And with that it has also become the 10th biggest re-released film in India by beating James Cameron’s Avatar. Bahubali- The Epic released across the country on 31st October but it had its premiere shows on 30th October at few select places which brought in a collection of Rs 1.15 crore and on day 1 of its release the film added another Rs 9.25 crore to its kitty, taking the total collection of the film to Rs 10.40 crore. And with that The Epic entered the list of highest grossing re-released time on the 10th spot by displacing James Cameron’s Avatar which during its re-release had minted Rs 10 crore. As the third installment during Avatar series, Avatar : Fire and Ash is all set to release in December, the makers had re-released the second part Avatar: The Way of Water a few months ago, the film didn’t get as much support as it was expected. Going by the trends, Bahubali- The Epic is well on its way to become the highest grossing re-released film in the country , the only question is how soon will that day come. Reports coming in from online ticketing platforms state that over 5 lakh tickets for the film have been sold till now and there is no drop in its speed. The film also features Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Sathyaraj, Ramya Krishnan and Nassar.
