Veteran actor Babloo Mukherjee candidly discussed his past, including a marriage at 17 and his subsequent divorce. He revealed a strained relationship with his children, stemming from his ex-wife’s alleged misrepresentation of past events. Famed actor Babloo Mukherjee, who is currently in the TV serial ‘Gharwali Pedwali’, recently sat down for an interview where he opened up about his life and the struggles he has gone through over the years. Babloo Mukherjee’s marriages
While sitting down for an interview with Vickey Lalwani, Mukherjee, son of the late star Keshto Mukherjee, opened up about a lot of things from his past. He spoke up about how he got married when he was only 17 years old. He was married to a woman named Lovely, whom he had married after his mother had requested him to.The two lived with his mother and brother, and at the time, the actor shared that he was not fully aware of how relationships were managed. He added, “My mistake is basically I could not give time. I could not be a romantic,” citing that it was on him for not being able to manage his marriage.While the couple had two children, he shared that at the time, he often felt that he could not do things with her because his mother would be there in front of them, or in the same room. He later realised his mistakes. He shared, “Mujhe khudko malum hai na ki usko time dena chahiye tha mujhe, mai bhi toh film kar raha hun serial kar raha hun, stories wagera jo hota hai I understand woh couple me jo hota hai woh ek intimacy, ek romance angle hona zaruri hota hai” (I myself know that I should have given him time, I am also doing films, I am doing serials, whatever stories happen, I understand that whatever happens in a couple, there must be an intimacy, a romance angle.) He further added that after a while, his wife started diverting from him, and later immediately asked him for a divorce.
Babloo Mukherjee reveals that he does not have custody of his children
Mukherjee had two children from his marriage to Lovely: a daughter who now lives in Vietnam and a son who lives in Los Angeles. He delved into the matter, citing that growing up, he did not have any contact with his children. To this, the host further quipped about the situation and asked, “Did your wife have custody of the children? Or had she taken the children living with that other man?”, referring to Lovely’s second husband.He shared that he was not even aware that she had gotten married again until much later. After gaining custody in the divorce case, he added, “Mai unke ghar pe jaaya karta thabacho ko dekhne ke liye sundays-sundays, jab bhi bola gaya tha, baat hui thi hamari, par mai jaata tha toh bacho ko woh saamne nai laati thi” (I used to go to her house every Sunday to see the children, whenever I was told, we had talked, but when I used to go, she would not bring the children in front of me.) At the time, he got the message that they also did not wish to stay in touch with him, and the connections fizzled out. When asked about whether he is now in contact with his children or not, Mukherjee revealed that while he and Lovely reconnected recently, he is still not in touch with his children. He shared that he talked to her recently about them and had asked her to introduce them, though things had not gone as planned. “Mai bola, make me talk to them at least, woh boli they hate you, they don’t to talk to you, Bola hate me for what, woh boli hate you for what you have done with me. Mai bola, what have I done with you?” he shared, referring to how she took an affair rumor and told her children about it, which resulted in their falling out.
