SS Rajamouli’s movie ‘Baahubali: The Epic’ made it to the theatres on October 31st. Following the festive season, the movie was expected to take the box office by storm. The opening numbers also hinted at a good run at the box office. However, soon the numbers started falling, with its second Friday recording the lowest collection. Amid all this, the weekend brought some relief, as on the second weekend, the movie witnessed a rise in the numbers. According to the Sacnilk report, on its second Saturday, the movie minted Rs 68 lakhs, in which Rs 4 lakh came from Telugu, Rs 12 lakh from Hindi, Rs 13 lakh from Tamil, and Rs 3 lakh from Malayalam. Whereas, on Friday, the total earnings across all languages were Rs 35 lakh. Breaking it down language-wise, Rs 22 lakhs were made from Telugu, Rs 5 lakhs from Hindi, Rs 1 lakh from Kannada, Rs 6 lakhs from Tamil, and Rs 1 lakh from Malayalam. With this, the total net collection of the ‘Baahubali: The Epic’ stands at Rs 31.78 cr in India.Meanwhile, the report adds, gross overseas collection of the movie is Rs. 12.25 cr and India’s gross collection stands at Rs. 37.55 crore, making the worldwide earnings of ‘Baahubali: The Epic’ Rs. 49.8 crore.
