As the numbers for India are still pouring in- the US market where Baahubali 2- The Conclusion which continues to be the highest grossing Indian film with USD 22 million collection have set a huge expectation for the future. As per reports coming in, just for the premiere day in the United States of America which is on 29th October the film has collected over USD 284,000 (Rs 2.5 crore) from about 150 shows , having sold almost 14000 tickets. And for the entire weekend, the film has already crossed USD 400,000 ( Rs 3.52 crore). Given the numbers it has already become the highest grossing re-released film without even a single show being rolled out. Breaking down the premiere day numbers, nearly USD 180,000 has come from the IMAX booking for the film. On Tuesday ETimes exclusively broke the news that Baahubali- The Epic will be screened in over 150 IMAX screens- out of which 62 screens are in the United States of America. The producer of the film Shobu Yarlagadda in an exclusive conversation with ETimes also stated that the idea for the re-cut version is not to make money but to bring back the magic on the big screen for a set of audience who grew up watching the film only on TVs, Laptops and phones. And this release has helped them do things which they couldn’t do before like Baahubali- The Beginning couldn’t get an IMAX release but now it is happening. Baahubali – The Epic directed by SS Rajamouli features Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan and Sathyaraj.
