‘Baahubali: The Beginning’ and ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’, have returned to theatres as one film, ‘Baahubali: The Epic’. The new version opened to an impressive response across India. The re-release is now inching closer to the Rs 20 crore mark at the domestic box office.According to early estimates by Sacnilk, on its second day, ‘Baahubali: The Epic’ collected Rs 7.00 crore, taking the total to Rs 17.80 crore at the domestic box office. With Sunday expected to draw even bigger crowds, the film is likely to cross the Rs 20 crore mark soon.

‘Baahubali: The Epic’ occupancy

On Saturday (day 2), the Telugu version recorded an overall 53.04% occupancy, the Hindi version saw 14.90%, while the Tamil version had around 40.43%.

SS Rajamouli shares changes made in new version

In a recent chat with Prabhas and Rana Daggubati, director SS Rajamouli shared details about how this special version was created by merging both films into one smooth and continuous story. He said, “By merging both parts and removing the rolling titles, the total duration would have been around five hours and 27 minutes. The current version, however, runs for three hours and 43 minutes. Major portions that were removed include Avantika’s love story with Shivudu, the songs ‘Pacha Bottesina,’ ‘Kanna Nidurinchara,’ and ‘Irrukupo.’ Several sequences from the war episodes have also been trimmed.” This new cut focuses more on the main storyline, keeping the pace faster and the experience tighter, while still maintaining the grandeur and emotion that fans loved in the originals.

Story revisits the rise of Amarendra Baahubali

‘Baahubali: The Epic’ runs for about three hours and forty-five minutes and stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, and Tamannaah Bhatia in lead roles. The story once again takes viewers into the majestic world of Mahishmati, a land filled with epic battles, royal betrayals, and the unforgettable rise of a hero destined to protect his people. The re-edited version allows audiences to enjoy the full journey of Baahubali in one sitting, a true cinematic treat for fans old and new.DISCLAIMER: The box office numbers in this article are compiled from our proprietary sources and diverse public data.
