Baahubali- The Epic mints over Rs 1.80 crore in US markets

Prabhas’s ‘Baahubali- The Epic’ has crossed Rs 1.80 crore mark in advance booking in US markets

SS Rajamouli, Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Tamannaah Bhatia,Anushka Shetty, Ramya Krishnan and Sathyaraj are just 6 days away from unlashing the magic of Baahubali films in a re-cut 3 hour and 45 minute film which brings both the parts together as Baahubali -The Epic, it is slated to release on 31st October.

The film is off to a very promising start for re-released films at the United States of America box office where it has collected over USD 205,000 (Rs 1.80 crore) for its premiere screenings from just over 135 shows. The film has till now sold more than 10,000 tickets and that number is only going to surge higher and higher as the release date comes closer.

Trade suggests that the franchise’s enduring popularity, and the excitement surrounding its large-scale storytelling along with the joy of watching the film as it was meant to be seen as one film are key factors driving these advance sales. It has already become the highest grossing re-released film of all time with just its premiere shows. The film is being distributed by the same team who distributed RRR in USA markets and they have gone all out to book the best screens including the biggest IMAX screens for the film.

Producer Shobu Yarlagadda mentioned to ETimes, that back in time also they had tried to re-edit the two films into one . He said , “ We actually tried something like this around 2018–19, it was just an edit. We combined both the films to see how it would look, but everyone got busy with different projects, and we dropped it.

Baahubali 2- The Conclusion continues to be the highest grossing Indian film in the North American market with USD 22 million collection and since that year no other film has even come close to that mark. The film catapulted Prabhas to a legendary Pan-India star status and SS Rajamouli became the maverick director whose films were awaited by the whole country.

The Indian trailer for the film is expected to be released today.
