SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Epic has achieved remarkable success with its recent re-release, raking in USD 933,000 in North America and Rs 33.48 crore in India. This makes it the highest-grossing re-release in India, surpassing previous records. The franchise continues to hold a strong emotional connection with audiences, with the Telugu version leading the box office collection.

SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Epic has rewritten history yet again. A decade after its original release, the re-release of both iconic films together has delivered a thunderous performance at the North American ticket window by collecting USD 933,000 (Rs 8.25 crore) as its theatrical run comes to an end.The response in the USA has been phenomenal, contributing USD 901,000 of the total, while Canada added another USD 32,000, proving the franchise’s enduring emotional grip on audiences across the continent where Baahubali 2- The Conclusion still remains the highest grossing Indian film with USD 22 million collection. What makes the achievement even more remarkable is the strong performance across multiple languages. The Telugu version led the charge with USD 867K, followed by the Hindi version at USD 64K and the rest coming in from Tamil and Malayalam versions. Back home, the response has been equally historic. In India, Baahubali: The Epic has already minted Rs 33.48 crore, emerging as the highest-grossing re-release in the country. With this, the film has surpassed the previous re-release record held by Harshvardhan Rane’s Sanam Teri Kasam, which had recently surprised the trade with its impressive run. But Baahubali, as expected, has gone far beyond, reaffirming its monumental scale, cultural impact, and unparalleled fanbase. Rajamouli is now gearing up for his next big screen extravaganza which has been titled as Varanasi and it features Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Prithviraj. The makers recently held a huge event to showcase the first glimpse of the film and also to announce the title of the film. The event though had technical glitches but it was very well received and it is also going to be the only the second Indian film to be shot in IMAX format after Nitesh Tiwari, Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Yash and Sunny Deol’s Ramayan.Baahubali featured names like Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Tamannaah Bhatia, Anushka Shetty, Ramya Krishnan and Sathyaraj along with Nassar.
