Ayushmann ADDRESSES his ‘Thamma’ MASSIER than ‘Lokah’ comment

Ayushmann Khurrana ADDRESSES his remark about 'Thamma' being MASSIER than 'Lokah Chapter 1'

Ayushmann Khurrana clarified his ‘massier’ comment about his upcoming film ‘Thamma’, explaining it referred to its wider reach in Hindi-speaking markets, unlike ‘Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra’ which didn’t release everywhere. He praised ‘Lokah’ and expressed confidence that its success would benefit ‘Thamma’, slated for release tomorrow.

Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna’s romantic horror-comedy, ‘Thamma’, is all set to release tomorrow. Both the actors are currently busy with the promotions of their film on various platforms. And in one such interview, the male lead of the movie stated that his comment about ‘Thamma’ being “massier” than the Dulquer Salmaan-backed ‘Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra’ was misinterpreted.

Ayushmann Khurrana shares his ‘massier’ comment was misinterpreted

In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, when Ayushmann Khurrana was asked if his statement about ‘Thamma’ being more massy than ‘Lokah’ was taken differently, the actor said, “Of course it is.”The Bollywood actor said, “I’m a fan of that film. There’s no doubt (it’s an amazing film); everyone will agree.”Ayushmann once again went on to explain what he actually meant when he made that statement. The actor shared, “What I meant to say was that the Hindi-speaking market mein—like I was shooting in Allahabad waha Lokah release nahi hui hi (it didn’t release there).”The actor further added, “Main dhekhna chahta tha par waha release hi nahi hui thi par waha Thamma paunch jayegi. Maine Mumbai mein aake dhekhi hai (I wanted to watch it, but I couldn’t, as it was not released there; however, ‘Thamma’ will hit cinemas there. When I came to Mumbai, I watched the film), I wish waha bhi release hui hoti.”Lauding the Malayalam movie, the actor stated that he loved it. He said, “More power to Dulquer Salmaan (producer), Kalyani Priyadarshan (actor), and the entire team. I really enjoyed the film.”He even expressed that the success of ‘Lokah’ will benefit his upcoming release.

Ayushmann Khurrana’s previous statement that went viral

In an interview, Ayushmann Khurrana stated that he couldn’t watch ‘Lokah’ in Allahabad, where he was shooting at that time. He said, “So ours is a more massy film because it penetrates down to the Hindi-speaking markets also. Lokah could be a good induction for certain multiplex audiences towards this thing, but we have a different genesis, different situations, and it’s a different story.”
