Ayaan reveals how mamu Salman never spoon-feeds him

Ayaan Agnihotri reveals how mamu Salman Khan is 'very particular about work' and never spoon-feeds him: 'He says go and get it done yourself’

Ayaan Agnihotri, nephew of Salman Khan, is determined to make it on his own merit. He revealed that Salman never spoon-feeds him and always pushes him to get things done independently. On the nepotism tag, Ayaan said that for his family, it is simply about being a close unit.

Ayaan Agnihotri, nephew of Salman Khan, is carving out his own path in the entertainment industry without relying on the privilege that comes with his famous family name. Despite having one of Bollywood’s biggest stars as his uncle, Ayaan has been determined to earn his place on his own merit and hard work. While working alongside Salman has given him valuable exposure and experience, he has made it clear that he does not want to be spoon-fed or handed opportunities simply because of his family connections.

What is the creative dynamic like when Ayaan Agnihotri works with Salman Khan?

In a conversation with News18, Ayaan was asked about the creative dynamic when working with Salman and whether the uncle-nephew relationship takes a back seat once the cameras start rolling or if it actually adds something special to the process. He said, “It is a mix of both. Mamu is very particular when it comes to work. He expects you to get everything done. You have to be there, you have to do the work, and you have to take responsibility for it. He will not hover around you. He will tell you, ‘This is what you need to do. This is who you need to do it with. Now go ahead and get it done.’ So in a lot of ways, it is nice to know that at that point, it is just work. What has to happen has to happen. After that, of course, there is an element of nurturing and mentoring that comes in.”He added, “But at the same time, he is never hovering. He is very clear that you have to do it first. Once you are done with it, he will tell you what he has to say about it. But he is not coming in and doing that part for you. It is like, ‘This is the beat. You figure it out. You write it. You figure it out with Vishal.’ Or, ‘This is what I have shot. This is the director. Now you go and figure out how you have to get your part shot.’ So basically, he says, ‘Go and get it done yourself.’ He will not help you at that stage, because that is your journey and your responsibility. But after that, he will always give his guidance.”

How does Ayaan Agnihotri deal with the nepotism tag and outside perceptions?

When asked about growing up in a family full of artists and how his relationships with Salim Khan and Salman have helped him separate genuine family support from outside perceptions, and whether that clarity has changed the way he presents himself as Agni, Ayaan gave a very grounded and refreshingly honest answer. He made it clear that the way things look from the outside is very different from how they actually feel on the inside. He said, “The way we see it from inside is very different. For us, it is just mamu and nana. That is the standard family setting for us. We do not look at it from the inside out. The relevance of those relationships is not based on social media counters or anything like that. Family is family. A unit is close as a family first. Whatever happens outside is not how we see it at home. Ghar ke liye, it is just family.” Go to Source
