‘Athiradi’ follows the story of Samkutty who is an energetic student who revives a banned college festival. The film has received mixed to positive reactions online. One viewer commented, “What makes the movie work is how it balances two layers at once – a fun-filled entertainer on the surface and an emotional connection underneath. Even though the middle portions feel slightly stretched at times, the opening and especially the last twenty minutes deliver some of the film’s best moments.”Another viewer wrote, “The first half feels flat and lacks enough interesting moments to keep the momentum alive. Even throughout the film, the graph keeps fluctuating- whenever a high moment arrives, the very next scene pulls it down again.”Despite the mixed responses, ‘Athiradi’ has managed to maintain a decent theatrical performance during its first week.DISCLAIMER: The box office numbers and the data in this article are compiled from public and industry sources.
