Anupam Kher received a special show of support in Delhi when cricket legends Kapil Dev and Madan Lal attended his play ‘Jaane Pehchaane Anjaane’ with their wives, Romi and Annu. The actor shared a photo from the evening on Instagram and thanked the former cricketers for watching the performance. He called their presence a joyful and honorable moment, and said their appreciation meant a great deal to him.

According to ANI, Anupam Kher posted the picture on Tuesday after the Delhi performance of ‘Jaane Pehchaane Anjaane.’ The photo featured Kher with Kapil Dev, Madan Lal, Romi, and Annu, as they posed together after the show.Kher wrote, “THE GREATEST OF THEM ALL!! What a joy and honour it was to have two of my all-time favourite cricketers #KapilDev and #MadanLal come and watch the play along with their lovely wives Romi and Annu.”He added, “These are the heroes we grew up cheering for… the legends who gave India some of its proudest moments. ‘Jaane Pehchaane Anjaane’ stars Anupam Kher with actress Swaroop Sampat. Gajendra Ahire has written and directed the play. The musical also marks veteran singer and composer Anu Malik’s stage debut.Kausar Munir has written the lyrics, while Shaan, Sukhwinder Singh and Anandi have contributed vocals to the production. The play recently opened at Mumbai’s NCPA Tata Theatre before Kher brought it to Delhi.The production has drawn praise from members of the film and theater community. Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit called Kher a “rockstar,” while actor Parvin Dabas described the play as “entertaining and emotional.”Kher is currently promoting the play. He was also recently honored at the UK International Film Festival Flame Awards 2026, where he won Best Supporting Actor for his role in ‘Calorie.’
