Aneet Padda reveals about ‘shady websites’

Aneet Padda reveals about 'shady websites'; recalls being overwhelmed by 'big people'

Aneet Padda, the Bollywood star shining bright after ‘Saiyaara,’ has been pursuing acting since she was 17. As the camera flashes have been new to her, the actress recalled being extremely nervous about the uncertainty and overwhelming feeling after being surrounded by ‘big people’ and contract negotiations.

Aneet Padda was nervous managing college and acting

Padda was unaware of the fame she would receive for her role, leading her to search for colleges after completing her schooling – even though she hoped for the best. “I didn’t know if I would make it. Of course, I was doing things, but I didn’t know if I’d have enough safety that I’d be able to make money only off of this. So I was still looking for other options, and what schools to apply to after college,” she said in an interview with Cosmopolitan India.

Aneet Padda came across ‘scams’

Aneet also revealed that every production house of the Hindi film industry must have her audition tape with ‘horrible biodata and Snapchat filters’ in their mail, as she was clueless about the fact that casting agencies look after the actors. Moreso, she was desperate to get some work during the COVID-19 pandemic, making efforts to have contact with 50 to 70 cold emails. Additionally, she revealed that she came across some shady websites, which were basically scams.

Aneet Padda missed an opportunity, leading her to ‘Saiyaara’

Recalling an incident, the 22-year-old revealed that she had a call with a prominent casting director, Shanoo Sharma. However, she had to lose the opportunity due to her hectic college schedule when she was 19. After her graduation, Padda reached out to Sharma, which eventually led to ‘Saiyaara’ with Ahaan Panday. Before starring in Mohit Suri’s hit film, Aneet Padda worked alongside Kajol in ‘Salaam Venky’ and a renowned drama series ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry.’
