Andrew Garfield opened up about his biopic on OpenAI chief executive Sam Altman, ‘Artificial,’ getting a new distributor. The 42-year-old believes the new chapter will bring ease to the project by finding a home for the film. The controversy over the project surfaced for the first time, but the actor expressed his excitement about partnering with a ‘daring studio doing daring films.’Here’s a closer look at Andrew Garfield weighing in about the upcoming film about Sam Altman.

Andrew Garfield speaks about new production house

During the New York premiere of his recent film, ‘The Magic Faraway Tree,’ Garfield opened up about the Altman biopic. “I think there are certain things that fit certain places and don’t fit other places, and they [Amazon] were nothing but supportive and nothing but encouraging while we were making the film. Luca has a really great relationship with them, and I’ve developed a lovely relationship with them as well. I’m grateful that they’ve helped the film to find the home that it was meant to find,” he said to Variety. Neon Films acquired ‘Artificial’ for USD 40 million after Amazon MGM Studios announced that it would be better for the film to release under a different banner. Garfield called Neon “a daring studio doing daring films, so I’m very, very excited to be partnering with them on it,” while speaking to The Hollywood Reporter.

Andrew Garfield did not talk to Sam Altman about ‘Artificial’

When asked if Andrew Garfield had contacted Sam Altman for his biopic, he denied, stating that he does not have contact information for the tech mogul. “I wouldn’t know how to. I don’t have his number. I don’t have his email. But I’m sure that he’d be able to reach me if he wants to,” he expressed, adding how curious and excited he is to talk to Altman.Along with Andrew Garfield, the cast also includes Monica Barbaro, Yura Borisov, Mark Rylance, Ike Barinholtz, Jason Schwartzman, Zosia Mamet, Cooper Hoffman, Chris O’Dowd, Cooper Koch and Billie Lourd.
