Amid all debate around ‘Ramayana’, the trailer, VFX and casting, Kangana Ranaut has shared a childhood memory where she played Goddess Sita. She dropped a photograph from 1997, in which she portrayed Maa Sita during a school play of on ‘Ramayana’.She shared the photo and wrote, “Sweet memories”. As mentioned in the post, the picture is from the 1997 batch of her school in Sarkaghat, located in Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi district. The nostalgic photograph features a young Kangana dressed as Maa Sita in a red sari. She is seen standing beside a fellow student playing Lord Ram, while another child, dressed as Hanuman, is kneeling in front with folded hands.Kangana also posted a zoomed-in version highlighting only herself from the same image. Along with it, she wrote, “My aashirwad to all liberals.”For those unaware, the actress-turned-politician has been in the news in recent days over her comments on the ongoing Gen Z protests.In a series of social media posts shared this week, Kangana criticised the demonstrators and referred to some of them as “gutter chhaap” (street trash). She also objected to the language allegedly used by certain protesters against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, both online and during the demonstrations.
