‘Alpha’ OTT release: When and where to watch the Alia Bhatt, Sharvari and Bobby Deol starrer after its theatrical run

Alia Bhatt and Sharvari’s action-packed spy thriller ‘Alpha’ has finally made its way to the big screen. As the newest addition to the YRF Spy Universe, the film has generated considerable buzz since its release, with audiences sharing varied opinions online. While many have applauded the performances, action choreography and production scale, the film has also sparked discussions over its screenplay and narrative. With the theatrical release now underway, attention has shifted to when and where the film will make its digital debut.

YRF reportedly declined a massive Netflix offer

According to Mid-Day, months before ‘Alpha’ reached cinemas, reports suggested that streaming giant Netflix had proposed a deal worth Rs 215 crore to acquire the film for a direct OTT release, skipping theatres altogether. However, Yash Raj Films reportedly rejected the offer, choosing to stick with its long-standing theatrical-first strategy. The production house had also dismissed speculation that ‘Alpha’ would bypass cinemas, maintaining that the film was designed specifically for the big-screen experience. According to reports, the studio believed the rumours unfairly undermined a female-led action film and expressed confidence that audiences would embrace the project just as they had previous YRF action entertainers.

Netflix to stream the film after its theatrical run

Now that ‘Alpha’ has officially released in theatres, the film is expected to arrive on Netflix after completing its box office journey. Although Yash Raj Films has not yet announced an official streaming date, the studio will likely follow its usual release pattern before bringing the film to OTT. Until then, viewers can watch ‘Alpha’ exclusively in cinemas.

Hrithik Roshan’s cameo and Bobby Deol’s performance stand out

Several aspects of ‘Alpha’ have earned appreciation. Alia Bhatt has been praised for her commitment to the physically demanding action sequences, while Sharvari’s confident performance has also drawn positive feedback.Among the biggest talking points is Hrithik Roshan’s special appearance as Kabir from ‘War’, with fans describing his cameo as one of the film’s standout moments. Bobby Deol’s intense portrayal of the antagonist has also been widely appreciated, while the film’s stylish visuals and high-octane action sequences have further impressed viewers. Go to Source
