Allu Arjun's grandmother Allu Kanaka Ratnamma passes away 94: 'Pushpa' actor, Ram Charan to arrive in Hyderabad

Allu Kanaka Ratnamma Garu (94), wife of legendary Telugu actor Allu Ramalingaiah and grandmother of ‘Pushpa’ star Allu Arjun, passed away in the early hours of Friday due to age-related illnesses.

As per a report by Gulte, Kanaka Ratnamma breathed her last at 1:45 AM due to age-related health issues. The report also suggests that her mortal remains will be brought to the residence of her son, ace producer Allu Aravind, by 9 AM. The last rites are scheduled to be performed at Kokapet later in the afternoon, where close family members, relatives, and well-wishers from the film fraternity are expected to gather to bid farewell.

Family members rush to Hyderabad

The Allu family is one of the most reputable families in Telugu cinema. Ram Charan, who is in Mysore, while Allu Arjun, who is in Mumbai, is traveling to Hyderabad and is expected to arrive by noon to be a part of the rituals. The arrangements for the funeral are being personally overseen by Allu Aravind along with Chiranjeevi, ensuring that everything is carried out in accordance with tradition. Meanwhile, Pawan Kalyan and Naga Babu, who are currently in Vizag attending a public meeting, are expected to visit the Allu family tomorrow to pay their respects.

Another fan took to X and wrote, “A major loss to Allu Family. Om Shanti”.Another internet user shared an old photograph of Allu Arjun with his grandmother and wrote, “Allu Kanakaratnamma, Paternal GrandMother of Allu Arjun, passed away today, may she rest in peace Stay strong@alluarjun anna, we’re with you”.
