Sharing a reel, a couple of months back, Dr. Siddhant Bhargava shared how consuming avocado a few times a week can offer multiple health benefits.Calling avocado ‘a buttery greeny beauty,’ said, “it’s not just a brunch flex, it’s serious nutrition and solid science. Breaking down the benefits he shared, “it was low glycemic index, basically it helps keep blood sugar stable.”In addition to the glycemic index, he mentioned that the fruit has healthy fats, monounsaturated in abundance, which “improves insulin sensitivity, in short, low risk of diabetes.”Further, he added that with fiber of 6.7 grams per 100 grams, it helps in three ways: “digestion is smooth, appetite is in control, and brings down unnecessary snacking.”

Highlighting the skin benefits, he shared, the fruit has Vitamin E, which keeps every dermat happy. “It protects your cells. It is anti-inflammatory, has antioxidants, and the skin stays healthier for longer.”Last but not least, it maintains the energy metabolism levels with Vitamin B6. “Makes mid-day slumps less likely, body stays alert,” he said before adding that it uplifts the mood as well.
