On Two Much with Kajol and Twinkle, Alia Bhatt shared a heartwarming memory of Rishi Kapoor, long before she married Ranbir Kapoor. Talking about her time on the sets of Kapoor & Sons, Alia said, “I wasn’t dating Ranbir at that time, but we would hang out every evening. He had the most wonderful stories to tell. He would call everybody after shoot to chill and have dinner together. That ambience was very good. I really miss him.”
Raha is a little Rishi Kapoor
Alia also recalled the similarities between Rishi Kapoor and her daughter, Raha. “Now, whenever people see Raha, they say she is mini Rishi Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. There is some of his energy in her, and she depicts that from time to time,” she shared, highlighting how Rishi Kapoor’s charm and playful spirit live on in the next generation.
Varun Dhawan recalls a funny incident
Varun Dhawan, who debuted alongside Alia in Karan Johar’s Student of the Year, also shared a funny memory of Rishi Kapoor. “I had a football sequence with Sidharth Malhotra, and Rishi ji had a problem with the gel in our hair. He kept saying, ‘What is this? Your hair don’t move. Come hail or storm, your hair don’t move. You guys are playing football, your hair should move.’”
Varun revealed how Rishi Kapoor even called Karan Johar to insist the gel be removed before they could shoot the scene. “We didn’t do the next shot until they removed the gel,” Varun laughed, leaving everyone on the show in splits.Alia and Varun first starred together in Student of the Year (2012) and later appeared in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, Badrinath Ki Dulhania, and Kalank.
