Akshaye Khanna PREDICTED THIS about Aishwarya’s career

When Akshaye Khanna PREDICTED Aishwarya Rai’s career in films long before her global fame: ‘She is going to be a very fine actress, I can’t take my eyes off her’

Akshaye Khanna and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan may not have shared the screen in many films, but their early collaborations left a lasting mark on Bollywood fans. From the romance of ‘Aa Ab Laut Chale’ to the musical magic of ‘Taal’, their pairing brought charm, emotion and a certain freshness that audiences still remember.Back then, Aishwarya was still new to films, while Akshaye was already known for his calm confidence. Yet, long before she became one of India’s most celebrated stars, Akshaye had already seen something special in her, a spark that he believed would turn her into a “very fine actress”.

When Akshaye Khanna called Aishwarya Rai beautiful and cheerful

In a past interview with Lehren Retro, the ‘Hulchul’ actor spoke warmly about Aishwarya before the release of ‘Taal’. Sharing his experience of working with her, he said, “I have worked with Aishwarya before in Aa Ab Laut Chale. Taal is my second one with her. She is very beautiful.”He then explained that his admiration was not just about her looks. He added, “Not just from the outside but also from the inside. She is always smiling and laughing. Always cheerful. I guess she is going to be a very fine actress. She has performed amazingly in Taal.”See More: Akshaye Khanna’s Rs 167 crore net worth: Inside ‘Dhurandhar’ actor’s lavish properties and car collection

Akshaye predicted Aishwarya Rai’s strong rise in cinema

Looking back now, Akshaye’s words feel almost prophetic. At that time, Aishwarya was still taking early steps in her career, choosing roles that helped her learn and grow. Yet Akshaye had already sensed her potential. His early prediction that she would become a “very fine actress” lines up perfectly with the success she went on to achieve.

Akshaye admiring her years later as well

This admiration did not fade with time. In 2017, while promoting his film ‘Ittefaq’, the ‘Border’ actor was asked by Karan Johar, “Who do you think is the sexiest girl in business right now?” Akshaye instantly replied, “Ash (Aishwarya Rai).”He also spoke honestly about his reaction every time he met her. He said, “I can’t take my eyes off her every time I meet her. It’s embarrassing for men. She must be used to it (people staring at her). But I am not used to not being able to take my eyes off somebody. You just keep staring at her like a lunatic.”

Aishwarya Rai’s journey in films

After ‘Taal’, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan appeared in a series of films that shaped her into one of Bollywood’s biggest names. She starred in widely loved titles such as ‘Mohabbatein’, ‘Devdas’, ‘Umrao Jaan’, ‘Dhoom 2’, ‘Guru’ and ‘Jodha Akbar’. Each film added to her growth, proving her range and winning her praise from critics and audiences. She was last seen in Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan II’.

Akshaye Khanna is earning praise for ‘Dhurandhar’ performance

While Aishwarya continued to shine in major roles, Akshaye Khanna also crafted a respected career with his selective choices. His calm style, sharp acting and understated presence have made him stand out.Recently, he has been receiving huge attention for his role as Rehman Dakait in Aditya Dhar’s film ‘Dhurandhar’.
