'Akhanda 2' box office collection day 3: Nandamuri Balakrishna’s mass film stays strong; Rs 15 crore on Sunday

Nandamuri Balakrishna’s ‘Akhanda 2: Thaandavam’ is dominating the box office, raking in approximately Rs 61 crore net in its opening three days. The film saw a strong opening and maintained momentum through the weekend, with Sunday collections reaching Rs 15 crore. Audience occupancy remained high, especially for evening shows, highlighting Balakrishna’s immense mass appeal.

Nandamuri Balakrishna’s much-awaited film ‘Akhanda 2: Thaandavam’ is continuing its powerful run at the box office.The film has shown strong performance right from its opening and has managed to keep the momentum alive through the first weekend. As reported by the Sacnilk website, the film collected around Rs 15 crore India net on its third day, which was Sunday. With this, the total India net collection of the film has reached approximately Rs 61 crore in just three days.The film opened with a paid preview on Thursday and followed it up with a massive Friday. Though there was a drop on Saturday, the Sunday numbers stayed steady. The movie is getting decent reviews from the audiences and it’s reflection is seen in it’s weekend collections.

Occupancy shows audience support

On Sunday, December 14, 2025, ‘Akhanda 2: Thaandavam’ had an overall Telugu 2D occupancy of 51.77 percent. Evening shows performed the best as it crossed 70 percent occupancy. The afternoon shows also saw very good turnout. Morning shows were moderate, and night shows stayed steady.The 3D version in Telugu saw a slightly lower response, with overall occupancy at 35.52 percent. Even here, afternoon and evening shows performed better than morning and night shows. In Tamil-speaking regions, the film recorded an overall occupancy of 16.23 percent.

Balakrishna’s mass appeal shines again

The film is directed by Boyapati Srinu. ‘Akhanda 2: Thaandavam’ banks heavily on Nandamuri Balakrishna’s commanding screen presence.
