Ajith’s secret battle with insomnia: Racing dreams vs family sacrifices, Fans await his cinema comeback

Ajith Kumar is one of the dedicated stars in the South. Not only in the Tamil film industry, he has a unique place in the world of racing as well. He is currently participating in the 24-hour endurance race in Barcelona, Spain. Participating in this is a huge challenge that will test his conflict, mental toughness, and physical fitness. Ajith recently shared many sacrifices he has made, including not being able to spend time with his family and children, Anushka and Aaditya. In addition, he also honestly shared about one of the hidden problems in his life, a sleeping disorder.

Ajith reveals his battle with insomnia

In a chat with India Today, Ajith said, “I have trouble sleeping. I can’t sleep well for more than four hours at a time. Even on flights, I try to rest as little as possible.” He mentioned that this has prevented him from spending much time watching movies and web series. While he fully supports the rapid expansion of Indian content to the international audience, his personal challenge is not being able to enjoy it due to a lack of time.

Ajith credits wife Shalini’s support

Ajith also candidly shared about family sacrifices, such as not being able to spend time with his children. He said that he missed out on some family moments because of pursuing his dreams. Meanwhile, the support of his wife Shalini, was the main pillar of his life. Ajith said that his son recently started go-karting, but he doesn’t plan on leading them in his own direction; he will fully support them in whatever field they choose.

‘AK 64’, Ajith’s next big cinema comeback

On the professional front, Ajith last delivered the film ‘Good Bad Ugly’. Following the success of the gangster drama, he is set to act in a new film ‘AK64’ with director Adhik Ravichandran. Fans are eagerly waiting for the film’s official announcement.
