Ajith Kumar breaks silence on rivalry with Thalapathy Vijay

Ajith Kumar breaks silence on rivalry with Thalapathy Vijay, 'I have always wished well for Vijay'

For years, Tamil cinema’s two biggest icons — Ajith Kumar and Thalapathy Vijay — have shared a legendary fan following. While both have maintained mutual respect and cordiality, their fandoms often clash online, sparking endless debates over who reigns supreme. Recently, rumours surfaced suggesting that Ajith wasn’t in favour of Vijay stepping into politics. Now, the Good Bad Ugly actor has finally broken his silence.

Ajith Kumar clears the air

In a audio interview with journalist Rangaraj Pandey, Ajith addressed reports of his alleged rivalry with Vijay and clarified that the rumours were entirely unfounded.“Some are making things up, and creating a misconstruction between Vijay and me, resulting in fans clashing with each other. It’s better if these miscreants remain quiet… I have always wished well for Vijay,” he said. The actor, who also balances his passion for professional racing, urged his fans to stay away from online fights and instead focus on their own lives. “It’s better if everyone focuses on their families and leads a happy life,” he added.

When Vijay signed a fan’s photo featuring Ajith

Amid the ongoing speculation, Vijay recently sent a subtle but strong message about his bond with Ajith during a political rally. A viral clip showed the Jana Nayagan actor smiling as he signed a fan’s photo featuring both him and Ajith. His gesture was seen as a reflection of the mutual admiration the two stars share, despite persistent fan wars. The moment quickly won hearts online, with fans from both camps celebrating the display of brotherhood between their favourite stars.

Clarifying rumours about Vijay’s reaction to Ajith’s Padma Bhushan

Earlier this year, Ajith was honoured with the Padma Bhushan, one of India’s highest civilian awards. Soon after, rumours began circulating that Vijay had not congratulated his colleague. However, Ajith’s long-time manager Suresh Chandra put those reports to rest.“These claims are entirely baseless. Vijay was among the first to congratulate Ajith Sir on his racing victory. Similarly, when the Padma Bhushan award was announced, Vijay Sir also congratulated him. Both share a genuine and heartfelt friendship. So, there is no truth to the claim that Vijay Sir didn’t extend his wishes,” he clarified. On the work front, Vijay is currently awaiting the release of his much-anticipated political drama Jana Nayagan, which marks a crucial chapter in his career following his political debut. Meanwhile, Ajith Kumar, who was last seen in Good Bad Ugly, is yet to announce his next project but is expected to return with another high-octane entertainer soon. Go to Source
