Ajay: Unconditional love for pets, they won’t ask for anything

Kajol sparks debate, Says, 'marriage should have an expiry date'; Ajay Devgn states, 'Unconditional love for pets, they won’t ask for anything in return'

Ajay Devgn and Kajol, married for over 26 years, discuss love’s changing meaning. Ajay and R. Madhavan highlight how “love” is now used casually, losing significance. Kajol suggests marriages should have expiry dates and renewal options to avoid prolonged suffering, sparking widespread conversation about modern relationships.

Bollywood couple Ajay Devgn and Kajol have shared a marriage lasting more than 26 years. Like any couple, they have faced challenges and triumphs but have stayed united through it all. Ajay recently expressed in an interview that today’s youth treat love more lightly than his generation did, mentioning that the term “love” has been used so frequently that it no longer holds the same significance.

Ajay Devgn and R. Madhavan discuss changing perceptions of love

Ajay, joined by R. Madhavan, took part in an interview with BookMyShow’s YouTube channel to promote their movie ‘De De Pyaar De 2.’ When questioned about how love is perceived by the younger generation, Ajay remarked, “From where I see, it has become more casual than what it was. The word “love” has been used so much unnecessarily that it has lost its meaning. In our generation, you reached a point where you said, ‘I love you.’ Before that, it was whatever it was, ‘like you’ or whatever. But I think, right now, people don’t understand the depth of that word, so it has been overused.”

R. Madhavan agrees and compares love to affection for pets

Madhavan supported Ajay’s views, pointing out that expressing love used to be a serious gesture, even when simply signing a card with the word ‘love.’ Ajay added, “Now every message has a heart emoji with it. All messages just end with ‘love’.” Madhavan explained that the word ‘love’ has become “very casual” nowadays, comparing it to the affection people show their pets. “There was a great amount of satisfaction in getting your love at one point of time. I really hope the younger generation can feel the kind of comfort we felt when we were in the company of someone we loved,” he shared. He further remarked, “Nowadays, you can compare that to the crazy love you feel for your pets, which is unconditional. I wish you could feel it for another human being.”

Ajay Devgn on unconditional love for pets

Ajay quickly jumped in, stating that it wasn’t “possible” because pets don’t demand anything in return. He said, “The problem is that you love your pets because you know that they won’t ask for anything in return.”

Kajol suggests an expiry date for marriages

Kajol, on the final episode of her show ‘Two Much with Twinkle Khanna,’ stirred conversation by suggesting that marriages should come with an expiry date and an option for renewal. She said, “What says you will get married to the right person at the right time? So, you should have a renewal option. And if there’s an expiry date, then we don’t have to suffer for too long.” Go to Source
