‘Aishwarya Rai hurt her head’: Bobby Deol recalls hot air balloon accident while shooting 'Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya'

Aishwarya Rai is one of the most loved actresses in the film industry. She made her Bollywood debut alongside Bobby Deol in Rahul Rawail’s ‘Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya’. Recently, Bobby recalled their shoot in Switzerland and shared some fascinating behind-the-scenes stories, including a surprising moment when Aishwarya got injured.

Bobby Deol recalls Aishwarya Rai’s first film nervousness

Talking about Aishwarya on her first film set, Deol told Radio Nasha, “No doubt Aishwarya is one of the most beautiful actors in our country, but it was her first film, so she was a little bit nervous but she is a very talented dancer.” Even though she was nervous, her dance skills and poise impressed everyone on set.

Bobby Deol shares BTS moments from Switzerland shoot

The ‘Gupt’ actor further shared how the film was shot in Switzerland with limited facilities. He revealed, “We were in Switzerland for 40 days aur main pak gaya tha Switzerland se (I got bored of Switzerland). The whole unit would get on a bus at 7 am in the morning, and we would shoot wherever Rahul (Rawail) stopped the bus. At that time, we didn’t have chairs to sit, but luckily there was grass everywhere, so we would be sitting on the ground. But it was exciting and fun.”

When Aishwarya Rai hurt her head

One of the most daring moments was a hot air balloon sequence. Bobby recalled, “We also shot in a hot air balloon, but the landing got messed up and Aishwarya hurt her head. I somehow got saved. I’ve never talked about this incidence, but luckily she was fine.”

Aishwarya was recently seen at Paris Fashion Week, turning heads with her elegance while walking on the ramp. On the film front, she was last seen in Mani Ratnam’s epic historical action drama ‘Ponniyin Selvan II’. The film starred Vikram, Ravi Mohan, Karthi, Trisha Krishnan, Jayaram, Prabhu, R. Sarathkumar, Sobhita Dhulipala, and others in key roles.
