Aditi gets kisses from Rekha, hugs Bhansali during Ganpati celebrations

It’s the time of Ganesh Chaturthi which also includes gatherings and festive vibes with loved ones and lots of good food. B-town celebs are also making the most of each by visiting each other for Ganesh Chaturthi. Aditi Rao Hydari dropped pictures from her visit to Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Manish Malhotra’s ‘Ganpati darshan’. She dropped some photos but the highlight of this post remains Aditi’s bonding with the legendary Rekha. Sharing glimpses of the special moments on social media, Aditi opened up about how much she was longing for her home and her husband Siddharth. She wrote, “Festivals are about love. missing home and my siddhuuu extra much.” As Aditi expressed that she’s missing her husband Siddharth, he dropped a heart on her post. In one of the photos, Aditi is seen sitting beside Rekha, while another captures the veteran star planting a loving kiss on Aditi’s forehead. The actress also shared warm hugs with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, whom she looks up to as a father figure. Interestingly, Aditi met Rekha at designer Manish Malhotra’s Ganesh Chaturthi celebration, while her visit to Bhansali’s residence was to seek blessings of Lord Ganesha. Aditi and Bhansali had earlier collaborated on his magnum opus series ‘Heeramandi’, where she won immense praise for her portrayal of Bibbo Jaan, as well as on Padmaavat. For the festive outing, Aditi stunned in a vibrant fuchsia pink outfit, while Rekha stayed true to her timeless charm in a signature Kanjivaram saree. Aditi, who lovingly calls her “Rekha Maa,” has often spoken about the bond they share. In one interview, she admitted feeling a deep, inexplicable connection with the veteran, saying she addresses her as Maa because of her “maternal instincts” and her ever-positive aura.Few may know that after Aditi’s powerful act in Padmaavat (2018), Rekha had sent her a basket filled with petals along with a heartfelt letter to celebrate her success. Aditi’s love for Rekha was also evident when she dropped a note during the re-release of ‘Umrao Jaan’ and regretted not being in Mumbai for the screening of the film.
