Aamir’s wedding ring for Gauri required 256 hours of work 131 pairs of skilled hands

Aamir Khan's wedding ring for Gauri Spratt required 256 hours of work 131 pairs of skilled hands, has an exceptionally rare natural ruby sourced from Madagascar

Aamir Khan and his longtime partner, Gauri Spratt, began a new chapter in their lives after tying the knot in an intimate registered wedding at his Pali Hill residence in Bandra, Mumbai, on July 6. Instead of hosting a lavish celebrity affair, the couple chose a private ceremony attended only by their children, close family members and a handful of friends. While their understated celebration won hearts, it is now Gauri’s exquisite wedding ring that has become the talk of the town. The centrepiece of Aamir’s wedding gift to Gauri is a bespoke ring created. It features an exceptionally rare cabochon-cut natural ruby sourced from Madagascar, set on a gold coronet-inspired mount embellished with 40 natural diamonds. As per reports, finding the perfect ruby took nearly three months because fewer than 0.1 per cent of rubies are believed to meet this extraordinary standard of quality. The ring itself reportedly required more than 256 hours of meticulous work and was crafted by 131 pairs of skilled hands. This is not the first custom jewellery piece Aamir has gifted Gauri. Earlier this year, she was spotted wearing another one-of-a-kind ring featuring a rare Brazilian aquamarine surrounded by 40 natural diamonds, which was also specially commissioned by the actor. Aamir and Gauri’s wedding stood out for its understated charm and deeply personal touches. Remaining true to his preference for simplicity, the actor skipped a grand celebration in favour of an intimate ceremony shared only with his loved ones.Adding an emotional family element to the occasion, Aamir’s son Azad Rao Khan and Gauri’s son Quinn took on the role of ring bearers, making the ceremony even more memorable. For the wedding, Gauri Spratt chose a custom creation by Sabyasachi Mukherjee that reflected effortless elegance. Steering away from the traditional bridal palette, she wore a muted lehenga adorned with intricate white floral embroidery, paired with a sheer dupatta and layered polki jewellery highlighted with emerald accents. Her beauty look perfectly complemented the outfit. Her makeup artist shared a video revealing that Gauri opted for a “second-skin” approach to her makeup, while her hair was styled in a relaxed side-swept bohemian fishtail braid decorated with delicate white flowers, completing her minimal yet sophisticated bridal look.
