Aamir Khan recently appeared on a podcast where he shared an update on his passion project based on Mahabharat. During the conversation, he also opened up about his massively appreciated film ‘Lagaan’ directed by Ashutosh Gowariker. The movie also earned the Oscar nomination in the Best Foreign Language Film category. The actor-producer also shared if the film were remade, who he thinks could play the role of Bhuvan.

On Komal Nahta’s podcast Game Changers, Aamir Khan was asked if the film gets remade, who he thinks can play the role of Bhuvan. For the unversed, Aamir played the role of Bhuvan in the film.

Aamir Khan quickly replied, “Vicky Kaushal, I think he has that quality of Bhuvan, dignity, strength, inner strength, steadiness, and integrity.” The superstar further shared that Kaushal reflects all of that very naturally and called him “a great actor.”

Directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, ‘Lagaan’ was released in the year 2001. The movie was backed by Aamir Khan and also starred Gracy Singh and British actors Rachel Shelley and Paul Blackthorne. The film became the third-highest-grossing film of that year. AR Rahman’s music enhanced the viewing experience of the movie.
