The long-awaited third installment of the acclaimed Malayalam comedy franchise is finally gearing up for release. Aadu 3, led by actor Jayasurya, arrives in theatres on March 19, 2026. The film will be competing with the biggies ‘Dhurandhar 2’, and ‘Toxic’ and the expectations are high. The plot has now been officially revealed through a major booking platform as shared by AB George’s Twitter page. It states, “Aadu 3 – is the third installment of the popular Aadu franchise. This time it is mounted as an epic fantasy since Shaji Pappan and Co. opens a Pandora’s box of reincarnations and multiple timelines leading to comic chaos of epic propotions.” This description confirms that ‘Aadu 3’ will be dealing with multiple timelines and we can even expect and ‘Avengers’- style multiverse in this comedy entertainer.

Beloved characters return with a double-role twist

One of the biggest surprises is that the film is expected to feature almost the entire cast in double roles.Jayasurya returns as the iconic Shaji Pappan who leads his gang of eccentric characters. The ensemble also includes Vinayakan, Vijay Babu, Saiju Kurup, Sunny Wayne, Dharmajan Bolgatty, Indrans, and many more. The makers recently released a new poster to confirm the film’s shift into time-travel territory. The poster carries the caption, “When the door opens, time blends,” indicating the merging of timelines. It shows two hands shaking—one old and one new. The visual suggests a meeting between two different versions of Shaji Pappan. One likely belongs to his past. The other represents his present timeline.

Production team steps up promotions

Producer and actor Vijay Babu took charge of the next phase of promotions. He unveiled the poster on social media and also confirmed that the film’s trailer will arrive soon. He wrote, “We are coming … Official trailer on 1st March, 11:11 am. Aadu-3, In Theatres Worldwide from 19th March 2026!”
