Amid the allegations levelled against him, an old tweet from fellow Hollywood actor Dylan Sprouse, is now going viral. In a 2018 tweet, the actor dissed Leto about his dating patterns, prompting a response even from director James Gunn. The post, along with a now-deleted reply from Gunn, has gone viral after a BBC documentary detailed allegations made by four women about their past encounters with the star.

Dylan Sprouse and James Gunn’s tweets resurface

Amid the renewed scrutiny, social media users rediscovered a tweet Sprouse posted that read, “Yo @JaredLeto now that you’ve slid into the dm’s of every female model aged 18-25, what would you say your success rate is?” James Gunn responded publicly to the tweet at the time, reportedly replied, “He starts at 18 on the Internet?”Although Gunn’s response no longer appears on X, screenshots of the exchange continue to circulate online.

Jared Leto accused of sexual misconduct

The BBC released its documentary, ‘Jared Leto: Hollywood’s Dark Secret’, which features allegations from four women who accused Leto of sexual misconduct and assault between 2002 and 2016. According to the documentary, the women said they were teenagers at the time of the alleged incidents, while Leto was an adult. One woman alleged that Leto sexually assaulted her in a motel bathroom when she was 17 years old. Another claimed that when she was 19, he threatened to sexually assault her. A third woman alleged that she was 17 when she had a sexual relationship with Leto. She further alleged that when she informed Leto of her age, he “shrugged off” the information. “It wasn’t a huge concern for him,” she reportedly said. “He told me, ‘I would like you to call me daddy.’ And it was either pretend to be a little girl or ‘my little girl.'”Another woman alleged that Leto began grooming her when she was 16 years old. According to her account, he asked her to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA), which she refused. The BBC reported that it had reviewed the NDA.

Jared Leto denies sexual misconduct allegations

Leto has strongly denied all of the allegations. In a statement provided to Just Jared, the actor said, “I have never sexually assaulted anyone in my entire life. These claims are absolutely and categorically false.”The BBC said it corroborated aspects of the women’s accounts through its reporting, although the allegations could not be independently verified by the Associated Press. The documentary does not identify the women by their full names. The broadcaster also stated that Leto did not respond to its requests for comment during the production of the documentary. The latest allegations follow a 2025 Air Mail report in which nine women accused Leto of misconduct. A representative for the actor denied those allegations at the time. Despite the renewed accusations, Leto’s talent agency, WME, has confirmed that it continues to represent the actor. A spokesperson for WME told Page Six that the agency has no plans to sever ties with Leto and that its client advisory committee is not reviewing the allegations.

Jared Leto NOT under investigation

Separately, TMZ reported that Leto is not currently under criminal investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD). The outlet also reported that prosecutors had previously reviewed a case involving one alleged victim but declined to file charges.Leto, who won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for ‘Dallas Buyers Club’, is also the frontman of the rock band Thirty Seconds to Mars and most recently appeared as Skeletor in ‘Masters of the Universe’.
