Operation Sindoor has drawn a new line in India’s defense strategy, says PM Modi in Bihar’s Gaya

At a rally in Bihar’s Gaya, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Operation Sindoor drew a new red line in India’s defence strategy.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said that India drew a new red line with Operation Sindoor for national security.

India launched Operation Sindoor on the intervening night of May 6 and 7 and hit terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (POJK) in response to the Pahalgam attack the previous month. After Pakistan responded with attacks on Indian cities and military installations, India attacked Pakistani military sites and destroyed a host of runways, air defence systems, and other military targets. India accepted Pakistan’s request for a ceasefire on May 10.

Speaking at a rally in Bihar’s Gaya, Modi said, “Operation Sindoor drew a new redline in India’s defence policy. Now, no one will survive if they would send terrorists into India. Even if terrorists would hid in the netherworld, Indians missiles will find them and bury them.”

Modi reminded the attendees that he had vowed from the land of Bihar to avenge the victims of the Pahalgam attack.

Just two days after the Pahalgam attack, Modi on April 22 had vowed to avenge the victims in rare remarks in English at a rally in Bihar.

“From the soil of Bihar, I say this to the whole world: India will identify, track, and punish every terrorist, their handlers, and their backers. We will pursue them to the ends of the Earth. India’s spirit will never be broken by terrorism,” said Modi at the time.

Speaking in Gaya on Friday, Modi on Friday said, “Every resolve made on this pious land is the strength of the country and doesn’t go in vain. When the Pahalgam terror attack happened, I had vowed to reduce the terrorists to dust from this land. The world has seen that resolve getting fulfilled.”

After launching Operation Sindoor, India announced that all future terrorist attacks would be treated as an act of war and would be responded appropriately.
