World Athletics Championships LIVE Updates: Neeraj Chopra and Arshad Nadeem set to be in action soon

World Athletics Championships 2025 LIVE Updates: India’s Neeraj Chopra will take part in javelin throw qualification on Wednesday in Tokyo, but Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem is in a different group.

World Athletics Championships 2025 LIVE Updates: Defending javelin throw champion Neeraj Chopra starts his campaign on Wednesday (17 September) in Tokyo at the World Athletics Championships 2025 with the qualification event. Reigning Olympic champion from Pakistan, Arshad Nadeem, will also be in action.

However, we will have to wait one more day to watch Neeraj Chopra take on Arshad Nadeem at the World Athletics Championships 2025, as both players are part of different groups in the qualification. Neeraj and Nadeem have not faced off since the Paris Olympics 2024, where Arshad won the gold and the Indian athlete captured the silver.

Also taking part in the javelin qualification event will be India’s Sachin Yadav, Yash Vir Singh and Rohit Yadav. This is India’s biggest javelin contingent ever at the World Athletics Championships. Neeraj won a gold medal in the last World Athletics Championships in Budapest in 2023.

Also, in action today will be India’s fastest man, Animesh Kujur, who will be taking part in the Men’s 200m heat. Abdulla Aboobacker will be part of Men’s Triple Jump qualification Group A, while Praveen Chithravel is part of Group B.
