How Kash Patel’s Liverpool tie during Senate hearing created a social media stir

FBI director Kash Patel wearing a $15 Liverpool FC tie to the Senate hearing on Tuesday created a massive social media stir as football fans were divided over his choice and some took it as an opportunity to deride the Premier League club.

FBI director Kash Patel wearing a $15 Liverpool FC tie during a Senate hearing has left social media amazed and football fans divided. The Indian-origin FBI director Patel appeared before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Tuesday as he was questioned over his investigation into the recent assassination of President Donald Trump ally Charlie Kirk and the alleged trafficking of young women by Jefferey Epstein.

Patel also testified against allegations that he has fired FBI agents who are not seen as loyal to Trump. But what caught the eyes of many during his Senate hearing was the choice of his tie.

Patel, a well-known supporter of the English Premier League club Liverpool, turned up for the hearing wearing a tie that carries the football team’s logo. This definitely made a few Liverpool fans go crazy as they boasted about the influence of the club.

“Even the FBI’s on it, top boss Kash Patel, FBI director, reppin’ a Liverpool tie at the Senate. Proof the Reds don’t just rule Europe, we run Washington too,” A Liverpool supporter wrote on X.

However, not every Liverpool fan was amused as a few got angry that Patel, who supports ‘fascist’ powers in the USA, is bringing a bad name to the football club.

An angry supporter said Liverpool fans don’t want the club to be associated with Patel. “f**k kash patel for a lot of reasons, but F**K him for being a liverpool fc supporter. nobody wants your crusty fascists ass associated with our club,” she wrote on X.

“Kash Patel wearing a Liverpool tie is more than enough reason for me to not trust him,” A fan wrote on X.

Patel is a huge Liverpool supporter and also won the same tie earlier this year when Liverpool won the English Premier League title.

And we may also see him watching Liverpool’s Champions League match against Atletico Madrid, which will take place at Anfield on Wednesday.
