The video begins with vehicles, including cars and buses, moving along the road as usual. Within seconds, gunshots can be heard, bringing traffic to an abrupt halt and prompting people on the road to flee for cover.
Amid the chaos, some individuals tripped but managed to escape. Many abandoned their vehicles in the middle of the road and ran from the scene. The shooters reportedly targeted a bus. Israel’s Channel 12 reported that the terrorists apparently boarded a bus in Jerusalem and opened fire on passengers.
As the road was left deserted, the gunmen were also seen running in the area.
Israeli security forces responded swiftly, shooting and killing both attackers at the scene. Authorities confirmed that the assailants were residents of the West Bank and were known to security services.
According to Israeli emergency services, four people died at the scene and one succumbed to injuries in hospital.
The victims included both Israeli citizens and at least one foreign national, though official identification is still ongoing. Emergency services arrived within minutes, providing first aid and transporting the injured to nearby hospitals.
