US Man Arrested For Hurling 2-Year-Old Baby From Balcony In Shocking Incident

A man in the US has been arrested after allegedly deliberately dropping a two-year-old toddler from a second-storey balcony.

The incident took place on August 16 at around 11:30 a.m. in Snohomish, Washington.

According to local authorities, officers from the Snohomish Police Department responded to reports of a man who had intentionally thrown a young child from an upper-level apartment balcony, WFSB reported.

Miraculously, the toddler survived the fall and was quickly rushed to hospital. Doctors later confirmed that the child had not suffered any serious injuries.

The 38-year-old suspect was taken into custody at the scene and has since been charged with assault and reckless endangerment.

Following the incident, the two-year-old has been placed in protective custody, and child protection services are now involved.

It is not yet clear what relationship, if any, the accused shared with the child. Police have not yet disclosed the motive behind the act, but investigations are ongoing.
