Hamas suggested it could reject US President Donald Trump’s Gaza peace plan, arguing that the proposal is tilted heavily in Israel’s favor and fails to address Palestinian demands. A senior Hamas official told BBC that the group had serious reservations about several of the 20 conditions laid out in Donald Trump’s framework for ending the war. These include a requirement that Hamas disarm and destroy its weapons stockpile, as well as the deployment of an International Stabilization Force into Gaza.
The official said the plan “only serves Israel’s interests and ignores the Palestinian people.” Hamas has yet to issue an official response to the plan, which comes just days after Israel agreed to the terms.
