“Jai Shri Ram, Sat Sri Akal… The firing that occurred today in Odivelas, Lisbon, Portugal was done by me, Randeep Malik, and the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Romi and Prince, who are doing illegal work in Portugal, should stop their work,” Randeep Malik said in the Facebook post.
Malik warned that if the gang ignores its warnings, bullets will follow. “RIP Ankit Bhadu Sherewala, Jitendra Gogi, Goldie Dhillon, Kala Rana, Arzoo Bishnoi, Shubham Lonkar, Sahil Duhan Hisar,” he added.
This incident is being investigated by the local police as the first major gang war linked to Indian criminals in Portugal. According to experts, the Lawrence gang alliance has carried out several major incidents on foreign soil in 2024 and 2025.
Two shootings at comedian Kapil Sharma’s cafe in Canada, the murder of national kabaddi player Sonu Nolta, and the assassination of Canadian gangster Sukha Dunike have been linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
Who Is Randeep Malik?
Randeep Malik, wanted by the NIA, is believed to have played an active role in the shooting in Portugal. He was detained by the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement last month and released later.
Malik is also believed to be connected to another major case from November 2024, involving two explosions outside popular clubs in Chandigarh — the Seville Bar and Lounge, owned by singer and rapper Badshah, and the De Orra Club, owned by local businessmen, according to NDTV.
Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Operations
According to experts, Indian gangsters are no longer limiting their operations to India but are now aiming to establish dominance and target rivals at an international level through their networks. Local police and security forces are facing major challenges in controlling such crimes, raising fears over the safety of Indian nationals abroad.
The Lawrence Bishnoi gang is suspected to be involved in shooting and arson incidents at the Canadian homes of Punjabi singers Gippy Grewal and AP Dhillon. The murder of drug lord Sunil Yadav in California is also reportedly linked to an alliance between the Lawrence Bishnoi and Rohit Godara gangs.
