A video is going viral on social media in which a man is seen confronting a woman for smoking a cigarette inside the air-conditioned compartment of a train.

In the video, the woman appears adamant about smoking and tells the male passenger to delete the video. “You are making a video. This is very wrong. Tell him not to make my video and delete it,” the woman says when she notices that the man is recording her.

When the woman tells him not to record her, the male passenger responds, “Smoking is illegal. Go smoke outside.”

As the argument escalates, the woman replies, “I am not spending your money to smoke. This is not your train. Go call the police.”

Another passenger, who had been observing the conversation, then angrily says to the woman, “This is an AC compartment. Don’t you know that smoking is not allowed here?”

A user on X wrote that smoking in public places is a violation of other people’s rights while demanding action against the woman.

“Smoking in public places is a violation of others’ rights. Such actions should absolutely not be tolerated in places like trains. @RailMinIndia should impose both fines and strict punishments,” the user, Manjul Khattar, said.

Reacting to Khattar’s post, Railway Seva, an official X Account for support to Indian Railway users, said that the matter has been forwarded to concerned officials to take action.

Another user said that the passenger is openly smoking a cigarette in the train but she thinks it is illegal to take a video.

A X user wrote, “She was smoking cigarettes in an AC compartment of a running train. When co-travellers objected and made a video for proof, she started playing the “women’s card.”
