In a shocking incident, an on-duty traffic policeman was severely injured after he was mowed down by a speeding car on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway. The accident, captured on surveillance camera, took place on Friday evening.
As per the footage, which has gone viral on social media platforms, the traffic cop can be seen standing near the divider on the expressway in the Vijaynagar area when he noticed the speeding vehicle rushing towards him. He attempted to move away in a bid to escape, but the car rammed him, flinging him into the air.

The car hit him with such force that he was thrown several feet away. After hitting the cop, the car continued at high speed without stopping. Another traffic cop can be seen running towards him after the crash.
Following the incident, the driver of the car fled the scene. The injured personnel, identified as Vipin, is currently undergoing treatment at Manipal Hospital and is reported to be in critical condition.
