PM Modi paid tribute to Sree Narayana Guru on his birth anniversary, praising his vision, teachings of equality, and lasting impact on India’s social and spiritual fabric.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to the revered social reformer and spiritual leader Sree Narayana Guru on his birth anniversary on Sunday. Prime Minister Modi recalled his transformative vision and enduring impact on India’s social and spiritual fabric.

The Prime Minister hailed the saint’s significant contributions to society, calling him an inspiration for many generations. PM Modi also praised the message of equality, compassion and universal brotherhood given by the spiritual leader and said his teaching resonates even today.

In a post on X, PM Modi wrote, “On the birth anniversary of Sree Narayana Guru, we recall his vision and impact on our social as well as spiritual landscape. His teachings of equality, compassion and universal brotherhood resonate widely.(sic)”

PM Modi said he played a key role in driving social reform and highlighting the value of education.

“His call for social reform and furthering education continues to inspire generations,” he added.

Political leaders, scholars, and admirers across the country marked the occasion with tributes and events highlighting the Guru’s life and legacy. Many reiterated the continued relevance of his philosophy in addressing present-day inequalities and fostering inclusive growth.

Sree Narayana Guru’s legacy, deeply rooted in the ideals of peace and progress, continues to shape India’s journey toward a more just and equitable society.
