Apple has launched the iPhone 17 series, with the sale starting in India today, September 19. The customers in Mumbai have already reached the company’s BKC store to buy the new phone.

Visuals shared by ANI show excited customers standing in long queues since early morning on Friday. A customer, Bayan Kapoor, who was among the people standing in the line, said, “Reviews are great online… I don’t know if I will be able to get one… Let’s see if Apple fever will increase or decrease.”

Visual from the Apple Store located in Delhi’s Saket also shows people waiting in long queues to buy the phone.

The iPhone 17 starts at Rs 82,900 for the 256 GB model, while the iPhone 17 Pro is priced from Rs 1,34,900. Early trends have already shown an increase in the pre-bookings of Apple’s iPhone 17 series in India as compared to the iPhone 16 launch.

“Pre-orders for iPhone 17 are outpacing those of iPhone 16 during the same launch window, and this momentum should sustain through the Diwali quarter. Demand for the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max has been especially strong, raising the possibility of early supply shortages,” Upasana Joshi, analyst at IDC, told Moneycontrol.
