Mohan was travelling with his wife and daughter from Greater Noida West to Connaught Place when the incident took place.

According to his post, the Uber cab was flagged down by a police interceptor near Parthala Bridge. However, instead of stopping, the driver allegedly sped up and began driving recklessly.

Sharing the ordeal on X, Mohan wrote, “A horrible experience with @Uber @Uber_Support , today me and my family was en-route to CP from noida. Near to Parthala Bridge Noida a police intercepter vehicle asked the driver to stop the car but the driver didn’t stop and trying to escape from police vehicle.”

The videos quickly went viral, drawing public attention and criticism of the driver’s behaviour.

In one of the clips, the couple can be heard pleading with the driver to stop. The woman can be heard saying their daughter is scared and begging him to slow down so they can get out safely. Moments later, the cab finally stopped, and the family got out. Mohan also alleged that the taxi had been involved in a collision earlier.

Responding to the viral post, Greater Noida West Police acknowledged the incident on X, stating, “While traveling from Noida to Delhi, a family’s cab was signaled to stop by the police at an intersection for a check. Due to incomplete documents, the driver sped up the vehicle. The family kept crying and pleading to stop the car.”

Despite the official response, it is still unclear whether any formal complaint has been filed or if the police have taken action against the driver. The statement from the police did not confirm whether the driver had been traced or penalised.
