OnOn Monday morning, the Iril River breached its banks, sending water into homes in Kshetrigao. While residents were safely evacuated, thousands of poultry, including chickens and ducks, were lost, causing significant losses for farmers.

The State Disaster Relief Force (SDRF) team and local police are actively engaged in relief operations, assisting residents to reach safe locations and providing essential supplies. Authorities continue to closely monitor the situation, as additional areas may still be affected in the coming days.

The Wangjing river was also flowing above the danger level, submerging Sangaiyumpham and Wangjing areas in Thoubal district, according to the officials cited by PTI.
