In Himachal Pradesh’s Sirmaur district, a unique wedding has recently caught attention as two brothers married the same woman. While the brothers stayed silent for days before explaining their reasons in a video, the bride, Sunita, has finally broken her silence, sharing her feelings on social media and sparking widespread discussion.

On Wednesday, one of the brothers, Kapil Negi, announced his departure to Bahrain for his job abroad.

Pradeep Negi wrote, “Brother, every memory from childhood is associated with you. Your companionship during school, your ability to protect me from my mother’s scolding, and without you, every festival feels incomplete. Today, you’ve gone abroad, but to be honest, the joy of our home has vanished without you. You’re no longer the laughing and joking companion, but your memories bring solace to my heart. Brother, no matter how far this distance becomes, the blessings and love of my heart will always be with you. Come back soon, to make our lives complete again. My dear brother, I miss you.”

Meanwhile, the bride, Sunita, shared her feelings, writing, “I cherish everything new, but I love your old memories. I miss you both and love you!”

Pradeep Negi and Kapil Negi’s father recently passed away from cancer, with both brothers expressing their grief on social media.

Pradeep and Kapil, residents of Shillai village in Sirmaur, married Sunita on July 13 under the Jodidar tradition prevalent in Sirmaur and Uttarakhand. The unusual wedding drew nationwide attention, making headlines across the media.

In the Hati community of Sirmaur district, there is a long-standing tradition of a woman marrying multiple brothers, sometimes even five, known as the Panchali tradition.
