Drunk Noida Teen Bludgeons Father To Death Over Money For Alcohol, Property Dispute

A 19-year-old allegedly killed his father after a drunken dispute over money and family property in Noida. Police have taken the accused into custody and investigations continue.

A 19-year-old youth allegedly killed his father by hitting him with a brick over money and family property in Sarfabad village in Noida, police said on Sunday. The deceased has been identified as Gautam (43).

It is learnt that the accused, Uday, and his father were both unemployed and drunk at the time of the crime. According to authorities, the crime unfolded when Uday and his father began arguing over money for alcohol and family property.

According to a report in The Indian Express, the family relied on their land for sustenance, and tensions escalated during the dispute, leading to the fatal outcome, said Krishna Gopal Sharma, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Sector-113.

Police were informed about the incident on Sunday morning. Soon after a police team arrived at the scene and discovered Gautam’s body with head injuries. The police statement mentioned that Uday had killed his father by striking him with a brick.

A forensic team also arrived at the scene to collect evidence. Furthermore, legal procedures, including a panchnama of the body, were conducted. Meanwhile, Uday has been taken into custody and the body has been sent for a post-mortem.

Further investigation is ongoing.
