Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated CP Radhakrishnan on taking oath as the 15th Vice President of India. President Droupadi Murmu administered oath to Radhakrishnan at a ceremony at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Wishing a successful tenure, PM Modi praised Radhakrishnan’s lifelong commitment to public service and democratic values.

After the oath ceremony, President Murmu congratulated Radhakrishnan.
The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP president J P Nadda, Former president Ram Nath Kovind, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.
CP Radhakrishnan won the vice presidential election on Tuesday, defeating the joint opposition nominee B Sudershan Reddy by a margin of 152 votes.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also congratulated C P Radhakrishnan after the oath ceremony.
“Congratulations to Shri C P Radhakrishnan Ji on taking oath as the Vice-President of India. Your vast knowledge and experience will further strengthen our democratic processes to serve people even better,” Shah wrote on X.

Radhakrishnan was serving as the governor of Maharashtra when he was named as the vice presidential nominee of the BJP-led NDA.
