VinFast Auto India on Wednesday announced the launch of the VF MPV 7, an electric seven-seater multi-purpose vehicle, marking its third product introduction in India within a year.

The company said the model, priced at ₹24.49 lakh, is designed for Indian customers seeking space and versatility. The VF MPV 7 features a three-row seating layout and offers up to 1,240 litres of storage capacity. It has a wheelbase of 2,840 mm.

A 60.13 kWh battery powers the vehicle, offering a range of 517 km on a full charge (ARAI certified). Fast charging enables a 10 to 70 per cent charge in 30 minutes. The vehicle produces 150 kW and 280 Nm of torque and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in under 10 seconds, the company said in a press release.

Tapan Ghosh, CEO of VinFast India, said, “The all-new VF MPV 7 is VinFast’s third product for India, and is most suited for customers with large families. It is designed to offer space for every member of the family and features for daily use. With the VF MPV 7, we are entering a new segment and expanding our commitment to India.”

Network expansion and localisation plans

The VF MPV 7 will be assembled at VinFast’s facility in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu. The model joins the VF 6 and VF 7 in the company’s India portfolio.

The Vietnam-based company said it plans to expand its retail network from 35 showrooms at the end of 2025 to 75 by the end of 2026. The company also aims to increase its service network, with extended service workshops expected to exceed 230 locations by the end of 2026.

The company is also rolling out initiatives including a free EV charging programme through the V-Green network until March 31, 2029, and a buyback programme offering up to 75 per cent value retention.

The VF MPV 7 includes features such as a 10.1-inch infotainment screen, connected car technology, multiple seating configurations, and safety systems including ABS, ESC, and airbags.
