Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) on Thursday announced that its domestic sales during the calendar year 2025 rose 17 per cent year-on-year (YoY) to record 351,580 units. Its total sales, including exports, increased 19 per cent to over 388,801 units compared to 326,329 units sold in CY2024, supported by strong domestic demand and a sharp rise in exports.
The strong annual performance was capped by robust growth in December 2025, when TKM recorded total sales of 39,333 units, a 33 per cent increase compared with 29,529 units in December 2024. Domestic sales during the month rose 37 per cent to 34,157 units, while exports grew 12 per cent to 5,176 units.
Growth in 2025 was driven by a strong product mix across SUV, MPV and compact segments, with models such as the Innova Hycross, Fortuner, Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Hilux, Urban Cruiser Taisor and Glanza recording healthy demand. The company also strengthened its portfolio through multiple product introductions and special editions, including the Land Cruiser 300, GR-S grade, Legender MT, and limited editions across the Hyryder, Innova Hycross, Fortuner, Camry Hybrid, Hilux and Urban Cruiser Taisor.
Varinder Wadhwa, Vice-President – sales, service, used car business and profit enhancement, said 2025 was marked by stronger customer acceptance across Toyota’s products and services in both domestic and export markets. He added that progressive GST reforms, strategic product enhancements and network expansion supported the growth momentum.
Looking ahead to 2026, Toyota Kirloskar Motor said it will continue to strengthen its product portfolio, enhance customer touchpoints and advance its decarbonisation strategy under Toyota’s multipathway approach, while deepening engagement with younger customers and focusing on long-term growth in the Indian market.
