Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) showcased its advanced hybrid technologies, manufacturing capabilities and skilling initiatives at the Advantage Maharashtra Expo 2026, highlighting its focus on sustainable mobility and workforce development in the state.

The expo, held in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, is one of the largest industry exhibitions in the Marathwada region and is organised once every three years by the Marathwada Association of Small-Scale Industries and Agriculture (MASSIA) in collaboration with the Government of Maharashtra.

At its technology pavilion, TKM displayed a range of vehicle technologies, including the HyCross Flex-Fuel Strong Hybrid Electric Vehicle (FFV SHEV). The company said the exhibit reflected its multi-pathway approach towards carbon neutrality, combining alternative fuels and hybrid powertrains to support India’s energy transition goals.

In addition to product showcases, TKM conducted a session on Toyota culture for representatives from industry and educational institutions. The session focused on the company’s manufacturing philosophy, including quality-led processes, continuous improvement, skill development and customer-centric leadership, with the aim of strengthening long-term collaboration in the region.

Sudeep Dalvi, chief communication officer, senior vice president and director at Toyota Kirloskar Motor, said the company’s participation at the expo underlined its collaborative engagement in Maharashtra. He also referred to the company’s upcoming greenfield manufacturing project in the state, which is expected to expand TKM’s operational footprint with a focus on localisation and local employment.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor recently signed a memorandum of understanding with the Government of Maharashtra to support the development of a structured skilling ecosystem, with a particular focus on strengthening Industrial Training Institutes across the state.
